There’s something about love stories that warms the heart.
Not the dramatic ones you see in films but the quiet moments that almost pass unnoticed. The moments that remind us what really matters.
Last night we gathered for the first evening of a brand new Star Matrix Master journey.
Our purpose was simple.
To remember the moments of love, beauty, connection and happiness that are woven through every life, even when life itself has been difficult. The glimmers of light that are sprinkled through our life.
As the stories began to unfold, something beautiful happened….
One lady told about the soft angora sweater, worn by a young guy in a meteorology class, that attracted her to go and sit with him. That decision was the beginning of a 57 years long love story.
Another shared the story of caring for her husband through a long illness. After trying everything to encourage him to eat, she prepared the most irresistible sandwich she could imagine and quietly enjoyed it in front of him.
The aroma, the colour, the care… He couldn’t resist. He got up and asked for one too. A small moment. A huge triumph of love.
Then there was the moment of friendship. Two girl friends sat on a balcony drinking Egyptian tea from two beautifully curved glasses, on a beautiful plate in front of the mosque and its call to prayer across the street. Both had no money at that time but both were laughing in a moment of togetherness love friendship and beauty.
Oh, and the star filled magical and most memorable dream. A fishing trip with a special family member… in heaven.
Then there was the moment when a hand was placed on top of another’s, in a car at the half way point between their distant cities, a moment of connection and deep soul magic took place.
And a moment entering the park, leaving work and computers behind and being hit suddenly and powerfully by the energy of the trees, nature, penetrating deep within, uplifting entrancing with its richness and beauty.
As we listened, every person in the room was touched by everyone else’s stories.
The more we shared, the brighter the room became.
That is where the Star Matrix journey begins.
Not by fixing what is broken but by rediscovering what has always been precious.
This was the beginning of the Star Matrix Master journey, set to unfold over the coming 12 weeks where we will discover and share more deeply of what is precious and meaningful in our lives and what it reveals about our true nature.
As the facilitator, my own energy was changed.
I went from the tiredness of the struggle of life to the lightness and thankfulness with the energy to enjoy the week ahead again.
That is the quiet magic of Star Matrix.
