When Pain Finally Softens With Love

I just had one of those sessions that reminds me why I love energy work.

A lovely lady, let’s call her Mary, came for a free intro session for Healing Pain With Love having attended a recent podcast interview with Althea Finch on the subject. Honestly, she sounded exhausted when we first spoke. Her voice was heavy with pain and grief.

She’s been suffering with chronic sciatica, TMJ, bloating in the abdomen, headaches, back pain, digestion problems, a painful chesty cough… and underneath all of that was huge heartbreak.

She lost her husband 10 months ago, and then recently another family member close to her died too. You could feel how much her whole system was carrying.

Sometimes grief doesn’t just stay emotional. The body carries it too.

We spent about 45 minutes together, gently working with the EMO Energy in Motion approach: allowing what was there instead of fighting it, looking at the pain with love instead of fear, softening with intention, breathing, allowing energy to flow again, helping the nervous system relax enough to let go a little.

I also explained some basic energy principles to her as we worked and she completely resonated with it. You could see things clicking into place for her.

And honestly… the shift was amazing.

By the end of the session:

  • her tummy had visibly softened and the bloating reduced,
  • digestion felt calmer,
  • her head felt clearer,
  • the sciatica had eased,
  • TMJ relaxed,
  • the cough loosened,
  • emotionally she felt so much lighter.

But what really got me was HER.

Her face had softened. She was smiling. Her voice sounded lighter and more alive. The whole energy around her had changed.

Later she told me she’d had the best day she’d had in 3 weeks and her son couldn’t believe the difference in her, telling her, she had to carry on with this approach.

And this was just the intro session.

She’s now booked 5 more sessions so we can continue gently working through both the physical pain and the bereavement journey underneath it all.

I finished the session feeling emotional too, actually. Grateful. Happy. Moved.

Sometimes people just need a compassionate space of acceptance to soften safely.

To stop fighting themselves.

To be met with love while their body finally exhales.

That’s when healing can begin.

“Healing is possible, even when someone has been carrying pain for a long time.”
