We don’t always have to heal the trauma to heal the trauma

We can also awaken the moments of light that already live within us.

We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures – Thornton Wilde, Playwright

A friend sent this quote to me this morning. It resonated strongly with what we talk about as Star Moments. It reminded me of a client session this week, lets call her Susan, where this very thing happened.

Susan had fallen out with her son. They had disagreed over something due to their very different personalities.

He, the material logical one. She, the heart centred focussed one.

I asked her to recall a star memory that might have the energy to help her out right now.

She started to relate about another conversation she had had with her son. She’d enquired about things he appreciated and he proceeded to share from his heart and in this moment allowed himself to be vulnerable. Susan noted that she felt a rare connection with him.

I proceeded to ask her deeper questions about her emotions as she related the story, the message and its significance, what that meant about her, who she was and a truth of life revealed in this moment.

As Susan connected with her own loving heart and experienced a moment of deep meaning I had the privilege of witnessing this, seeing her light up totally in radiant softness that I helped to bring it about. I felt that warmth too, in my own heart.

That moment when it happened was a fleeting moment of meeting, a glimmer of light.

Spending some time to revisit, to reflect, to re-experience a star moment magnified it, awakening more of her own shining self, the star within. The light within now shining from her heart illuminated the problem story, which simply dissolved in its presence.

These moments, where the heart is alive and we are conscious of it, become the true treasures of our life.

The practice of revisiting our star moments, or recording them, of uncovering embedded information and wisdom, discovering more of our true self, and our matrix of hundreds of star moments is a beautiful meaningful and so worthwhile practice. Its a way we can collect the treasures of our life.

As I witnessed her reconnect with that moment of love and meaning, I was reminded again what a privilege it is to do this work.

Being able to assist someone to quickly reconnect with and embody their true self, bringing back their innate resources and talents through their star moments, is the skill of the Star Therapist.

Our star moments also hold the healing energy we need.

It’s a beautiful journey to make discovery of a life of meaning for ourselves and for others and uncovering and embodying more of our true nature as we go along.
