“So how are you feeling about that?”
It was directed at a subject closest to my heart that my colleague was aware of. An ongoing personal situation that I am living with for a long time.
He was actually asking sincerely with real care “How is your heart?”
The love motivating the question went straight into my heart. I welled up with emotion at the kindness and care showed to me. I allowed myself to feel all that. It swelled in my heart and then spread out from my heart through my body leaving me feeling love and loved in that moment. It was a star moment. A precious moment teaching me the value of not only asking ‘how are you?’ but asking ‘how are you feeling?’ and really caring about that with awareness of the other person’s heart.
It made such a difference to me and has brought a new awareness of what that can mean to another person.
When asked ‘how are you?’ most just answer simply as we don’t think the other really wants to know all the details, our real feelings. In fact the enquirer needs to have capacity for that response and not everyone does. We instinctively sense that before giving our normal simple short answer.
As I understand this, in my own on-going situation which I know is beyond most people’s compassion, I don’t mind any more. I accept people the way they are.
What comes from the heart goes directly into the heart
How beautiful it is then, what a blessing it is to be asked by someone who actually cares “How are you feeling, how is your heart?” showing their care and capacity they have in their own hearts.
That in itself is healing enough. The love carried by the question going directly to the heart can be enough to dissolve the need to even respond with the details. If we can allow that energy in and allow it to spread through us, the wave of emotional energy dispersing within and through the body, the story’s details can be soothed and nourished by that sincere beautiful energy wave.
Its not what you do it’s the way that you do it
So next time I ask a friend, colleague, or family “How are you? How are you feeling these days?” or “How are you feeling about X these days?’ I will do it with an awareness that the person may be carrying X, their personal story, for a long time in their hearts and that asking with awareness of that and with sincere love and care can really make a special moment of feeling loved in that moment and make their journey that day that much lighter.
Thank you to the dear colleagues who asked me in this way today, that brought some healing to my own heart, some love and connection and helped to make this day of my journey so much lighter.
I note this as another star moment in my evolving star energy matrix and the latest entry in my Book of Stars, precious moments of love, enlightenment, beauty, insights, power and wisdom.
