The Chain of Light

It started as a normal conversation.

A friend was sharing everything that was going wrong.
The kind of conversation that can easily stay there… circling problems, looking for relief but not quite finding it.

I could have just listened and let it pass at that level.

But I didn’t.

Instead, I asked him something simple:
“And as well as all that… what else happened? Anything good?”

There was a pause.

Then he told me he had received an award at work.

And everything began to shift.

We moved into that moment.
Not just talking about it but feeling it.
Expanding it. Letting it grow.

I guided him to stay with it… to amplify it… to really embody what was true in that moment.

Until he said it clearly and fully:

“I am the presence of Divine Love.”

That was the turning point.

The whole trajectory of the day changed.
For both of us.

But the story didn’t end there.

That moment of light didn’t stay contained… it moved.

Later, at the hospital, a patient approached him and said how much better they always felt after speaking with him.

He received that.
He let it land within himself.
And he reflected it back … validating not just the patient but his own humanity.

The same light continued.

A doctor he works with was feeling stressed about going to her sister’s for dinner, already expecting difficulty.

This time, he was the one holding the space for her.

He spoke about connection, about unconditional love.
He even offered to pray for her.

The next time she saw him, she told him the dinner had gone beautifully.

Something had shifted.

And this is why this story matters.

Because at the very beginning of that first conversation…
I almost didn’t go there.

I almost let it stay in the problem.

If I hadn’t known the power of these moments …
If I hadn’t understood that a single “star moment” can open a portal into someone’s inner light …

I would have missed it.

And all of this… would never have happened.

One moment.
One shift.
One choice to turn toward the light.

And it didn’t just change him.
It moved through him… to others… and beyond.

A chain of light.

And in that, I’m reminded of something simple and humbling:

We never really know how far a moment of presence will travel.

But it does.

When you choose to see the light in someone, you don’t just change a moment, you start a chain reaction.
