This morning chatting on zoom with a friend I had a very Royal Star event.
I was sitting drinking a lovely Turkish coffee out of my beautiful tea cup and saucer, Royal Grafton actually, and we were discussing why I enjoyed drinking tea or coffee from this beautiful bone china cups as opposed to any other kind.
I recalled a star event and shared it. “It reminds me of a moment of recognition I had when watching Lawrence of Arabia many years ago. There was a scene in the film at the British Consulate in Cairo where Lawrence walks in and the Ambassador was drinking tea from the very same identical cup I had. It was a wow moment of recognition! As I recalled the moment I had the same thrill return inside me.
Realising it was a star moment I reflected upon that. Why had this effected me so much? What was the meaning and message?
There was a connection moment not only to British history but to elegance, to refinement and beauty… and confirmation of my absolutely good taste !! 🙂
As I was feeling this energy my body straightened up and joy was bubbling inside me. I was surprised at this and again asked what is this energy and emotion? It was really like a Royal Energy. I was most amused and curious about the experience and was left feeling quite elated.
This moment made a new 2nd star moment, there and then, to have this realisation that there was something royal, elegant, refined in me that appreciated beauty and good taste.
I always did prefer drinking tea from a china tea cup and saucer as opposed to a mug !! From now I would be even more conscious of that enjoyment, maybe with a secret knowing smile as the energy returned each time.
So the next star memory that popped up was when I actually bought this tea cup.
I was out with my Mum some years ago and we were in a second hand shop in Lee on Solent. There I saw them on the shelf. A set of four beautiful cups and saucers. Each cup a different colour: red, turquoise, sage green, royal blue. It was an instant falling in love moment!
My Mum bought the set and we agreed to share them. Two at each house for drinking tea.
On revisiting this memory, I also felt the connection of a shared moment with my beautiful late Mum and our shared moments drinking tea from these beautiful cups when I would visit. Later she would give me her two and I had the full set.
So these cups were also artefacts, connecting me with elegance, refinement, royal energy, family love and my love of beauty. I was bubbling with joy inside with all these realisations and now understanding consciously why I have such enjoyment using these cups which add so much to the tea drinking experience.
This connected me with more star events around tea drinking.
The next one I recalled which was very impactful was in Marmaris in Turkey a few years ago.
I arrived for a trainers training and went out for tea in the local restaurant on the evening of my arrival.
The Turkish really know how to do hospitality well. Its in their culture.
So my tea arrives on a tray in a beautiful curved glass on a tiny saucer. On the tray was another tiny glass with a fresh flower in it. Plus two more tiny plates. One for the slice of lemon and one for the small biscuit.
Again I was struck by the beauty of the presentation. Such love and attention to details went into presenting the tea, or coffee for that matter. It feels like a real honouring of the guest adding to the enjoyment beauty and richness of the moment. There was something to learn here from the Turkish people here too and the many other striking moments of beautiful hospitality in this country.
And that was my four stars constellation of tea drinking, beauty, elegance, royal energy, love joy and happiness.
A very nice moment passed remembering sharing revealing the messages and meanings and the enjoyment of it all. I logged them all in my Book of Stars, adding to my collection of the richness and treasures of life, my Star Matrix.
As I plan to visit Turkey in May for Star Therapy Training it was a perfect reconnection. I am so looking forwards to my trip and making more star memories along the way. Meanwhile, when in Egypt …. !!
